Arcade Therapeutics Selected for UK Innovation in Mental Health Program; Will Showcase at Nexus 2025
Arcade Therapeutics has been selected as part of the February 2025 cohort for the UK-based Innovations in Mental Health immersion program. Arcade joins 13 other innovative ventures from around the globe in this highly selective program focused on technologies that address anxiety, depression, and psychosis.
KHP Ventures is a collaboration between King's College London, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. In December 2024, KHP launched a new £20 million ($25.5 million) fund dedicated to accelerating mental health startups, with Wellcome Trust as the anchor investor committing £8 million.
In addition, Arcade will be showcasing its therapeutic game for anxiety and triage platform at Nexus 2025, a major digital health conference that will bring together over 2,000 attendees including health systems, providers, clinicians, and digital health innovators. In March 2025, the Digital Therapeutics Alliance (DTA) was acquired by ATA Action (the advocacy arm of the American Telemedicine Association), creating a unified organization to advance digital health technologies. Following this acquisition, the DTA Summit was incorporated into Nexus 2025.
Arcade's Clinical Results
Arcade Therapeutics, co-founded by CEO Raj Amin and Chief Science Officer Dr. Tracy Dennis-Tiwary, is pioneering game-based digital therapies that target unconscious cognitive biases contributing to mental illness. Their approach has shown remarkable effectiveness in clinical trials.
A recent study published in the Journal of Anxiety Disorders demonstrated that StarStarter, Arcade's mobile-based game for social anxiety disorder, produced impressive outcomes: 90% of participants showed reduced social anxiety after using the therapeutic game, with 68% achieving clinically meaningful improvement. Most notably, 38% of users reduced their symptoms below clinical thresholds, effectively moving out of the clinical range for social anxiety.
If you're interested in investing or partnering and want to experience the game, you can email Raj Amin (CEO) (raj@arcadetherapeutics.com), for a trial code. The game works by using a spaceship to collect stars while the app retrains your attention patterns away from negative stimuli.
Investment Opportunity
Arcade Therapeutics is currently raising funds through Wefunder, offering investors the opportunity to join their mission to revolutionize mental health treatment. The company has already secured initial contracts with health insurers, state universities, integrated primary care providers and behavioral service providers. Additionally, Arcade was co-awarded a $3.8 million National Institute of Mental Health grant with UT Austin for depression treatment.
With new CMS reimbursement codes for Digital Mental Health launched in 2025, Arcade is well-positioned to scale both non-prescription and FDA-cleared offerings. Their Wefunder round is closing soon, marking the final opportunity to invest at the current valuation before the company raises at a higher valuation.
